The Orion was a particularly heavy beast and if my grandson Josh were not here, I would never have been able to take it upstairs to the first floor of my old barn.  Again these vintage double beds are heavy but between us we managed to put it together and get it working.  The wonderful thing is the literature and pattern books of the era that come with these old machines really interests me.

Perhaps I should also mention that I have still to come to grips with the 3d printer my son sent me for my birthday and to be honest I cannot wait to see if I can print out the many parts I need for my Passap E6000’s – the stand plastic bits and the yarn holders on this model leave a lot to be desired so I hope I can do this.

In the long term I must think of a way of cataloguing this huge collection, I feel its going to be an enormous task, I have managed to start a note book highlighting the collection plus notes dedicated to the rarer models but remember, rare does not equal usability, some of the older models are fine machines but some are not, pretty to look at but when it comes to doing the job, they are tedious if not impossible to operate but nonetheless I love them all.
