Singer Magic Memory

This is a 4.5 mm guage or standard gauge machine.  An unusual 12 st pattern selector type machine with the beginning of the punchcard as we know it ie selected by lever first then moves on and probably the first "electronic" ie works with 4- 1.5 volt batteries, I thought they were a gimmick so did not put them in to initially select the needles but no dice it must somehow read the card.  Works beautifully but the lever is slightly damaged because it is in a silly place ie under the knitting machine - has separate lace carriage and weaves, tucks and fairisles - wd not think it was built to last but this one is in good condition but delicate - as with all of these models they are smooth operators and appear to have the same gauge as the Passap.
