This wonderful set of photographs of this rare vintage machine were sent  to me via the son of Ruth Harris MacDonald from New Zealand.  This is one of the rarest of knitting machines, and it has capabilities of knitting not only stocking stitch but garter stitch automatically via its jack system – you will notice the beds are completely flat – I initially puzzled as to how these machines knit but now I actually own one though not as well featured as this one, it’s the Pingouin, and it holds the knitting on the bed by weights. I envy anyone who owns this very rare model.
