Jones KH 800 Knitting Machine
This great beast of a thing comes in a green metallic case and inside belies what one expects, ie it looks much more modern than it is - a case before its time, well fitted with accessories, pattern, cards, extra pattern cards, felt pen (still working) loads of tools, and a steel punch.
To operate it uses the key selector spanner but goes a little further with this pre-punch card as we know it patterning mechanism, the yarn lays like intarsia for fairisle.- suffering a bit from not being used, I oiled it and replaced the sponge bar, gave it a bit of a work out - what amazes me is the amount of work put into these golden oldies, they always look glam inside though not necessarily on the outside. This one has hardly been used, one of the heaviest machines I own.
